COVID-19 Update

1 March 2022

Effective today March 1st, the indoor masking requirement has been removed by the province. Our staff and visitors are no longer required to wear a mask on our premises.

However, individuals will be supported if they choose to wear a mask. We ask that anyone who is feeling unwell to stay at home and not visit our office. Everyone should continue to follow proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette when visiting our office.

10 December 2021

Our “return to school” survey results are in and it looks like 76% of students prefer to continue with online learning. Therefore we've made a decision to continue to offer all our classes online with some exceptions like 1 on 1 training until the end of April 2022, at which time we will conduct another survey.

  • We will continue to be flexible and will react to new public health guidance as it becomes available.
  • All classes will continue to be offered online with some exemptions for our one-on-one training.
  • Masks must be worn in the building except when you are at your workstation and socially distanced from others.
  • We discourage any visits to our office unless absolutely necessary. We ask everyone to schedule an appointment if such a visit is necessary.
  • Our building's main entrance will be locked at all times, all visitors will be asked to ring the bell upon their arrival.

21 September 2021

The Government of Alberta, together with our public health authorities, reinstated a number of previously lifted COVID-19 measures and issued a new series of public health recommendations in September https://www.alberta.ca/covid-19-public-health-actions.aspx.

We are therefore formally delaying our partial return to in person training plans for all our programs until December, at the earliest. We will continue to be flexible and will react to new public health guidance as it becomes available.

All classes will continue to be offered online with some exemptions for our one-on-one training.

Masks must be worn in the building except when you are at your workstation and socially distanced from others.

22 August 2020

We would like to thank all of our teachers and students who participated in our August survey “Do you feel comfortable returning to school for in-person classes?” We can confirm that the majority of our students (74%) are not comfortable returning to school in order to have regular face to face instruction. Based on this survey we made the decision to continue all of our programs online using Zoom as our delivery platform until December 31, 2020. Please note that our office will remain open from Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm but the school door will remain closed. When possible, we would like to ask all of our clients to make an appointment in advance before visiting us. We hope you are all doing well during these challenging times. As you know the school has worked very hard in the past two weeks to transition our face to face instruction to online classes. Your regular classes will resume on Monday, March 30th for our EAL students and on Monday April 6th for our LINC students at the regular time, except you will be meeting with your teachers online.

We will be using Zoom to connect together and for our online classes.

Please make sure that you download zoom before March 30th and April 6th so you are ready for your classes. You are welcome to call us if you have any problems and we will try to help you set everything up via the phone. Looking forward to seeing you all on zoom. Stay positive and stay healthy!
