Application Procedures

STEP 1:

If you decide to study at Equilibrium you will have to fill out the application form.

If you are an international student, you are required to submit with your application a $200.00 non-refundable registration fee and a copy of the photo page of your passport.

If you are a local student (international student currently living in Canada, visitor, work permit holder, landed immigrant, Canadian citizen), you are required to submit with your application a $65.00 non-refundable registration fee and a copy of the photo page of your current ID.


STEP 2:

If you are a local student, upon receipt of a student’s application form and registration fee, Equilibrium will confirm your program’s start date and the deadline of your tuition fee payment.

If you are an international student, upon receipt of a student’s application form and registration fee, Equilibrium will send the student our Letter of Offer containing detailed information about the program the student has chosen, full tuition fee payment information and instructions on how to apply for a student permit.

Please Note that ONLY Equilibrium School’s EAL (English as an Additional Language) Program is a Designated Learning Program that is able to receive foreign nationals on a study permit.


STEP 3:

If you are a local student, you will be able to start your program when all fees (in Canadian funds) will be remitted prior to the program start. The student is responsible for any bank fees that might be charged by the banks.

If you are an international student, your full tuition fee payment is expected by the date specified in student’s Letter of Offer. Please note that all fees are in Canadian funds. The student is responsible for any bank fees that might be charged by the banks. It is recommended that the student confirm all transaction fees prior to the final payment.

The following steps apply to international students only

STEP 4:

Upon receipt of all fees and required documents, you will receive an official receipt and two official Letters of Acceptance confirming your registration at our school. One official Letter of Acceptance and an official receipt should be presented to the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in your country to have a permit issued. The second Letter of Acceptance is for your personal records. You should carry a copy of the Official Letter of Acceptance and a copy of the official receipt for their tuition fee when travelling to Canada.


STEP 5:

You can apply for a student permit in the nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate in your country. If you use Equilibrium’s agent in your country and require assistance with the study permit application Equilibrium’s agent can direct your application to a reputable and registered immigration law advisor in Canada who will assist you with the student permit application process.

If you require assistance with the study permit application and do not have access to an Equilibrium agent you can contact us to obtain the contact information for a reputable and registered immigration law advisor in Canada. Please be advised that only registered consultants and lawyers can assist you with the study permit application.
