Scholarship Recipients

We are pleased to inform you that our own Julia Licznerski is the recipient of the 2023 Equilibrium School Scholarship awarded to outstanding individuals.

Julia has worked for Equilibrium School since the spring of 2022 and since then she has taken on many responsibilities in our school. She has worked with other teachers helping out in their classes, created a variety of staff and student resources, and also become a part-time instructor for our Zoom, Customer Service, and EAL programs.

She is a third-year student at the University of Calgary studying English as well as Linguistics and Language with a concentration in Mandarin. She loves languages, both teaching and learning, and Mandarin is the fifth one she has studied. Julia is fluent in English, Polish, French, and Spanish. Julia has a passion for linguistics and hopes to become a linguistics professor.

When she is not teaching or learning, she spends time with her friends and family and participates in Cirus Arts and Latin Dance, specifically Salsa and Bachata.
