Refund Policy for Students

Equilibrium will provide a full refund of tuition fees for a course if the course is cancelled or not offered by the school.

If a student decides to take a break and/or vacation (to travel, visit family, etc.) a written request has to be submitted to the school prior to departure. The student will not be eligible for a refund for that period of time but could qualify for the credit for the unused tuition fee. However, it is at the discretion of the school to grant the credit.

If you are a Local Student

(Applies to: international students currently living in Canada, visitors, work permit holders, landed immigrants, Canadian citizens).

  • Prior to the start date of the class, the student will be eligible for a full refund less a $150.00 cancellation fee.
  • After the start date of the class the student will be eligible for a 75% tuition fee refund less a $150.00 cancellation fee up to the end of the second class for special circumstances.
  • After the start date of the class the student will be eligible for a 65% tuition fee refund less a $150.00 cancellation fee up to the end of the third class for special circumstances.
  • After the start date of the class the student will be eligible for a 50% tuition fee refund less a $150.00 cancellation fee up to the end of the fourth class for special circumstances.
  • There will be no refund after the fifth class has elapsed.

If you are an International Student

After arriving in Canada students will not be eligible for a refund of the tuition fee.

In case of rejection by the Canadian Immigration Office; the student will be eligible for a full refund less a $450.00 administrative fee if the following documents will be submitted to Equilibrium School:

  1. a copy of the Rejection Letter from the Canadian Immigration Office
  2. a written notice of withdrawal
  3. two original letters of acceptance issued by Equilibrium School to the student
  4. an official receipt issued by Equilibrium School to the student.

Withdrawal from a Program for International Students

If a student withdraws from Equilibrium prior to entering Canada, the student will be eligible for a refund less a $450.00 administrative fee and a $ 1,500.00 processing fee. In order to be eligible for the refund the student must submit to Equilibrium:

  1. A detailed written explanation of the reasons for the withdrawal.
  2. Student must return two original letters of acceptance issued by Equilibrium School.
  3. an official receipt issued by Equilibrium School to the student.

If a student withdraws from Equilibrium after entering Canada and/or uses Equilibrium's letter of acceptance to obtain admission to Canada and/or extend his/her student visa the student will not be eligible for a refund.

Note:Equilibrium School is required to notify the local immigration office about all international students who withdraw from any program.
