Scholarship Recipients
Janina Bartoszewicz
We are pleased to inform you that our own Janina Bartoszewicz is the recipient of the 2026 Equilibrium School Scholarship awarded to outstanding individuals.

Janina Bartoszewicz lives and breathes soccer in pretty much everything she does! It all started when she was introduced to the sport at the age of nine, and it just kept going. Janina currently plays in the APDL (Alberta Player Development League), but her goal is to become a professional soccer player someday soon. She's working on this by always looking for ways to challenge herself and train as much as possible. This includes past training at a high-level soccer academy in Poland and joining a local soccer program as their only female and youngest player. Janina is a strong advocate for equality in sports and is happy to promote the ways that sports can bring people together. Her great grandfather who was a well-known soccer player and coach in Poland would be proud!
When Janina isn't playing, thinking about, or talking about soccer, she enjoys visiting family in Poland, volunteering and working to make her community as better place. In the past, she started a local fundraising effort to help people suffering from the war in Ukraine and also volunteered at Equilibrium School's summer camp for staff children.
Janina really appreciates how her family, coaches, friends, and Equilibrium School all continue to support and encourage her as she continues to work towards her goals and build even more successes.
