Physics

Physics 20 and 30 courses include the study of matter and energy and the impact of physics on technology and society. Both courses involve experimentation and problem solving.

Physics 20 - 5 Credits

Physics 20 course is the first program in the Physics 20-30 series. The Physics 20 course deals with the study of motion. Different forms of energy covered are kinetic energy, gravitational potential energy, heat energy, and wave energy. Various properties of waves discussed are reflection, refraction, diffraction, and interference. Physics 20 covers kinematics and dynamics, circular motion and gravitation, mechanical waves, light, and radioactivity.

Physics 30 - 5 Credits

Physics 30 is the second program in the Physics 20-30 series. The Physics 20-30 program covers the conservation of energy and momentum, static and current electricity, magnetism, electromagnetism, quantum theory, and models of the atom.
