STUDENT FUNDING: APPLICATION PROCESS

Step 1: Book an appointment to check your eligibility

Call 403-283-1111 to register for an appointment in order to have your initial interview to check your eligibility. The interview will take about 30 minutes.

Step 2: Write a placement test

The cost of the ESL placement test is $20.00. It takes approximately 1 - 1.5 hours. You are not obligated to write the test on the day of the interview but please note that you have to take it in order to find out if you are eligible for funding and to apply to Equilibrium.

Not all applicants who write the test will be accepted for funding.

Step 3: Obtain the results

Everyone who writes the placement test wil contacted by mail or phone to schudule another appointment. Students will receive a test result statement and will be informed if there will be a seat available for their level for their start date.

Step 4: Complete the forms

Only students who are told there is a seat available for them will proceed to this step.

Students will be given all the necessary forms and will be responsible for completing them on their own (assistance for beginner students is available). They will have to return for an appointment to the have their forms checked. When complete, the forms will be sent to Edmonton.
