Student Funding
STUDENT FUNDING: WHAT DOES IT COVER?
Tuition and Textbooks
Students that receive funding under the Skills Investment Program have their tuition paid and will be provided with funding for textbooks and resources (Students will receive a cheque each semester to pay the book/resource fee that is due at the beginning of each semester.
Living Expenses
Students registered full-time in the ESL program will receive monthly living expenses, including money for daycare. There are no daycare facilities at Equilibrium, however, there are many daycares in the area that students may apply to.
Money intended for living expenses is direct-deposited into students' bank accounts two or three days prior to the end of the month. Students only remain in the program and receive their cheques if they are maintaining acceptable progress and attendance.
The amount students receive for living expenses is determined on their needs and the number of people in their family.
Lentgth of Study
Students are eligible for up to 20 months of full-time English as a Second Language training using the Skills Investment Program.
Part-time Funding
Part-time funding for ESL provides tuition and books for students to attend classes 15 hours or less per week.
Students accepted for part-time funding do not receive any money for living expenses.
